About This Weather Station

This weather station is in an open space, yet nearby woods limit overall wind totals. The temperature probe is largely accurate, and the rainfall gauge was erratic for a period of 2018 and 2020 due to repeated rainbucket failures of more than one Davis Vantage Vue hardware failures (and super cap failures and general Davis bad hardware!).

The weather station and web site were running for a long time on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ (which is how the website name originated). Today, though, WeeWX is now running on a Debian VM, collecting data from a WeatherFlow Tempest. Data is published every 2.5 seconds via an MQTT broker.
